The Campus Special was the greatest experience not only on a professional level but on a personal level as well. The first week I was really nervous, didn't know what to expect, and a little bit overwhelmed but sticking though it was the best decision I have ever made!! This internship not only gave me the skills to sell advertisement to local business owners, but it boosted my confidence more than any class or internship could have ever done. It really hit me when it came to distribute the books. All the students LOVE them, and it is a great feeling to work for a company that is so well known and liked. I would have to say the best part about working for The Campus Special was working with Chau and Joe. They were there everyday giving us advice, encouraging us, and motivating us. If anything else this is a great resume builder and the hands on experience will definitely help you find a job in the future. I highly recommend working for The Campus Special!!!!

I was looking for any internship last summer just to get some experience in the business world. However, when I spoke with Matt and Chau during the interview process I realized this wasn't just any "internship". This was a real job that allowed you to control your success and the experience you gained. With the guidance of my manager, I was able to take on a market with hundreds of businesses by myself. They provided all of the training and advice I needed to basically run my own business over the summer. With complete control over my clients, sales techniques, and lead generation I learned more than I ever could of at any normal "internship". The fact is, The Campus Special provides you with the resources to jump start your career in all industries. I have developed a great sense of professionalism, unbelievable organizational skills, and relationships that will last a lifetime. Not to mention, The Campus Special is there for you after your internship ends. This includes reliable and impressive references to career and business advice. As I go through the interview process now to find a job after I graduate I can only feel lucky that I was offered this opportunity by The Campus Special. This job is not just an internship, it is a unparalleled learning experience and a head start in achieving your career goals.

This past summer, I had one of the best and shaping summers of my life. I learn a lot about sales and I also learned a lot about myself as a person. I worked very closely with Joe all summer and he taught me so much in such a short time. There are a lot of ups and downs in sales, but working with an experienced manager helped me always feel good about the next business I was getting ready to go to and ready to go. The best part about this internship is that you are selling something that is going to benefit every student at your school. My friends always wanted to know who was going to be in the coupon book. Even the encouragement from my friends got me excited every day to go out and make those sales and create the best coupon book out there for my peers. This is a very exciting internship and every time you land a sale it just makes your hard work feel even better. This internship helped build my confidence in myself, and I know that I will always keep the knowledge and skills I learned from The Campus Special with me in my future endeavors! I am so lucky to have had this internship this summer!

As an intern for The Campus Special last summer, the main benefit I gained throughout this experience is the level of confidence I had in myself by the end of the program. Before the summer started I never thought I would be able to go in a business and talk to an owner and come out with not only a sale, but the feeling of being able to sell myself along with the product. This internship is unlike any other internship because you are teaching yourself new things everyday while building essential skills that will take you far in future jobs.

My summer with The Campus Special has been an experience I will never forget. While the training was very professional and practical, the internship itself was even more eye-opening and something I will take with me for years to come. For me personally, I gained confidence, patience, and optimism; and professionally, I gained responsibility, diligence, and persistence. The teams of managers, as well as, the clients were a pleasure to work with and we all formed lasting relationships. This internship will provided me and will provide you with unforgettable memories and first hand experience of the real world and real people.

In the summer of 2008 I participated in The Campus Special Internship program. This opportunity was a once in a lifetime chance. Before the summer started I couldn't have guessed how much the experience has made me grow as a person. The Chicago training conference is a great time because you get to meet so many fun and interesting people, but the real life experience for me came from the day-to-day things I got to do. I now feel like I will be ready to start out in the business world when I graduate. Also, Matt Brown was there everyday to help me out with an problem, question, or just a pick me up....believe me you will need them every once in a while. Just a few of the things that I feel have put me ahead of all the other people searching for job are: time management skills, motivation, and my ability to talk to complete strangers and make them a friend/client. For the rest of my life I will look back on this experience and remember the people and experiences that have helped me out in being a more confident and successful person.

I interned for The Campus Special during the summer of 2008. Back in the spring, when I was first offered the internship, I was excited. But in the back of my mind I was also a little nervous. Now that I have concluded my internship I realize that it truly was a life changing experience for me. I learned SO MUCH over the course of the summer; not only about business and marketing, but also about myself and my potential. I feel as though the experience I gained from working with this company will help me to grow into a much more professional and hard working individual in my years after college. I learned that I can do anything if I set my mind to it, and that just a little extra effort goes a long way. I was very lucky to be able to work under Joe Jacobs on a daily basis; that guy knows his stuff when it comes to business, and I am grateful to have been able to learn from his experiences. There were definitely some challenging days, but Joe was always there to back me up and push me to succeed. Now when I see someone using their coupon books on campus, I can't help but feel pride knowing that I was the person who put it together!

My internship with The Campus Special this summer has been very rewarding. I learned so much about myself throughout the summer and my confidence has grown tremendously along with my communication skills. This internship requires you to overcome many obstacles and makes you a much stronger person personally and professionally. One of my first clients was so excited that I was back again this year to renew his contract -- he lifted up his cash drawer and it was overflowing with campus special coupons, and he said 'this is only from this semester' (and there were a lot!). If I could do this internship all over again, I would - this experience got me the job I have been trying to get for the past couple years. This experience opened up many doors… I am getting many phone calls now since this internship was added to my resume. I never thought I would have to turn down so many interviews! In the interviews that I have had, this internship is honestly all we talk about. With Chau, Joe, and Matt all behind you throughout this whole experience, it really helps you to stay motivated and ready for anything that comes your way. What's even more rewarding is distributing the books and seeing how much all of the students really do love our product and how excited they are to get them after all the hard work you put into it. If I were to recommend an internship for someone, this would be it! - No matter what your major… this internship is amazing and will better the opportunities that will be available to you throughout your life.

My summer working as an Account Executive with The Campus Special is one that I will cherish forever. I learned more about myself and my community in one summer than I had learned in the previous three years of living in a college town. This internship gave me the chance to help my classmates save money, boost the local economy, and most importantly it gave me the chance to make something that I could truly be proud of. The internship with The Campus Special taught me that hard work and persistence will in fact pay profits and the shear joy that I felt after each and every sale is something that I can't put into words. My summer internship was absolutely amazing and I'd strongly recommend this program to anyone who wants to improve their ability to walk into a business, make a pitch, close a sale, and put out a product that they can be proud of!

My summer interning with The Campus Special was one I definitely won't forget. Everyday I had to face challenges that I certainly wouldn't have faced in a "fetch the coffee" kind of internship, and I learned how to handle these situations in a business like manner with lots of confidence and conviction. This definitely has prepared me for my future career although I'm not majoring in sales and has enabled me to network with the local business owners. All of the managers are so encouraging and are only going to lead you in the right direction so take advantage of this opportunity and make this a summer you won't forget!

I am an Accounting and Finance double major at The University of South Carolina and I interned for The Campus Special over the Summer of 2008. Most of the interns have majors that relate to Marketing, Sales, or Advertising, so I was kind of in the minority among interns. However, I think my experience with The Campus Special was just as beneficial as any other interns' experience. I learned communication and networking skills that will set me apart from many of my other peers in my field. I believe that the confidence that I have gained in myself from this internship will truly enable me to show future employers why I am the applicant they should choose for the job. Everyone that you work with is inspirational and you will learn so much from them! The Campus Special was a great experience.

Spending this past summer working with The Campus Special was easily one of the best experiences of my life. This internship boosted my resume due to the hands on experience, and I also learned an immense amount about how to sell a product and how to deal with clients in a professional manner. This internship gave me the communication skills that are essential in the business world because I talked to so many business owners each day. From this experience I also learned about the importance of persistence, work ethic, and attitude and these are not things that you can be taught sitting behind a desk all day. The best part about this internship is that it is challenging, but the more you put into it the more you get out of it. Luckily, however, most of the work is already done for you because the product is already so amazing. The product is very widely know and anyone you try to sell it to will tell you that. The trick is you have to go deeper than explaining how brilliant the product is because that is too obvious. I learned how to show my clients that this product was an investment they HAD to try and I wouldn't take no for an answer. I am already receiving e-mails and calls from the clients I got to try it out because it is working for them and they wanted to thank me. Overall, this internship is an experience of a lifetime that you don't want to pass on. All of my managers have become great mentors as well as friends and I know they will always be there in the future to help me land jobs or even to call for advice!!

I LOVE THE CAMPUS SPECIAL. Not only did this internship open doors for me, but the product itself is awesome to use as well!! Our clients love these books. They'd say, "you're back this year! Yes! This is the only way I advertise; students love these things!" Meeting with business owners everyday was a great way for me to network around the area; I was offered three jobs! This internship made my communication skills stronger than ever; I can say with confidence that I now have no problem carrying on a conversation with anyone, whether it's a professor or a CEO. Seeing the books around campus was the most rewarding part of the experience for me. Bookstores have students coming in and asking for the coupon books. When I passed them out, students would say, "yes! I love these!" Most of my friends were life guards, bartenders, or babysitters this summer, but I was an account executive for The Campus Special and I gained confidence, met hundreds of new people, learned a new discipline, and had the most unique internship and hands on experience in a sales and advertising position than I've ever had before. I'd do it again in a heart beat and highly recommend applying for this internship if you're dedicated and like challenges. Go Campus Special! :)

If you are looking for an internship that will help you transition from the class room to the real world then the summer internship with Campus Special is for you. I graduated from Valdosta State University with a degree in Speech Communication and immediately attended the 4 day training session. This is a specialized training geared towards giving you every tool you could possibly need throughout the summer. The next week I began the internship confident and ready to succeed. Over the summer I created many relationships that I continue maintain. My manger/mentor gave me unending support and guidance, which helped me become finish #7 in sales! I am now an Account Executive in the radio broadcasting industry. Having The Campus Special internship on my resume got me in the door! During the interview I discussed how The Campus Special gave me the skills to be successful in their industry. The Campus Special Internship has changed everything about my life. It was one of the most challenging things I've ever done and it has paid off ten fold in the last few months. As a non-business major, I had no idea if this was something I could be successful at. I had wanted to be a therapist all through college, never thinking I'd be in a sales role, but then all of a sudden, there I was on my first day, walking into my first business. It took some getting used to, but after a few weeks, with the help from my manager Matt Brown, I began to walk into businesses like a seasoned veteran! It was a challenge, but in the end, it was so worth it. When the books came out at school and I was passing them out, it felt unbelievable to tell people that I had put it together. Everyone was so impressed, especially my friends and family, who all said they could never do anything like this. In all of my job interviews since, I use my experiences with The Campus Special for almost every question. Each prospective employer has always said the same basic thing, "I can't believe you have this much experience already!" The internship helped me become a stronger, more confident and motivated person. I can't thank The Campus Special enough for giving me the chance to be part of their team.

The internship that I completed this past summer has turned out to be one of the most rewarding things that I have ever done. Yes, it was hard and first but it turned out to be such an amazing experience. I had a hand in making the first Campus Special coupon book at Kennesaw State University and I am so proud of it. When I hear my fellow classmates talking about how awesome this book is, it is so rewarding to say, "I made that!" They are stunned that someone just like them did something so cool! I have gained so much knowledge from this internship and met countless people that I am sure will be beneficial to my career. This internship gives me such an advantage to my competition as I try to enter into the job of my dreams! I have actually had hands on experience and created a product, whereas most other internships give you none of these benefits. This internship has done so much for me, and yes it is hard work but it is so worth it!

This past summer, I interned as an Account Executive for The Campus Special at Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, Illinois. Through this internship I gained not only experience in face to face interactions with actual business owners, but I also acquired the poise and confidence necessary to be a member of a successful sales team. With the guidance and experience of my manager, Matt, along with the support from a fellow intern, I was able to meet and even surpass my own goals for the summer. I am now a junior, and starting the job search and interview process. Several recruiters that I have met with have reiterated the importance of a hands-on internship with an esteemed company like The Campus Special. One such employer informed me that she does not even interview candidates for a position unless he or she has had significant experience in sales and cold-calling, like I have. I value every day spent as an Account Executive for The Campus Special, not only for the experience I have gained, but for the amazing people I have worked with. This internship is invaluable for anyone looking to gain real experience in the business world.

As an intern for The Campus Special last summer, I gained experience in the real business world and learned a ton. The internship has given me so much confidence in myself that I did not have before. The ability to walk into a business and start talking to the owner and make sales seemed out of the question at first, but when the summer was over I felt I could sell to anyone. The training program was excellent. We were given three days of extensive sales training and the trainers couldn't be more helpful. Throughout the summer, Chau was a great mentor and helped me all the way to the end. I strongly reccomend this program for anyone looking for an exciting and meaningful summer internship.

Before I started my internship with The Campus Special, I had to keep convincing myself that I could do it. By the end of the internship I was walking into the businesses and speaking to the owners with the comfort of speaking to a friend -- and they often were by the final visits. It was definitely a challenging experience from which I gained extreme confidence in my speaking & negotiating skills not only with people in "high places," but also in my life in general. And the networking I gained from doing the internship was great, as well. I actually got a few job offers and took a business up on one.

When I first was hired for the internship I knew it would look great on my resume, but I did not take into account how beneficial this experience would be. I was thoroughly impressed with the training conference in Chicago. After leaving the conference I had the confidence to sell anything. The title of account executive really has meaning because you are managing these clients all on your own. The feeling you get from making your first sale is one of the most rewarding feelings I have ever had. The internship not only teaches you how to sell and prepares you for your future, but it also teaches motivation, persistence, confidence, and experience. I was amazed with myself when I saw the size of the finished book; it was such an accomplishment. The skills from one summer can be taken with you in whatever you choose to take on in the future. I no longer fear graduation and entering the business world. I now feel prepared that I have an advantage over many applicants I may be competing with for a job.

Interning for The Campus Special over this past summer has been so much more than just an internship. I have gained valuable knowledge of not only sales, but also so much about myself and what it means to have hard work really pay off. The Campus Special has been taught me so much about building confidence, time management, and working out in the real world-- something that no other internship as a college student can provide. Matt Brown was my manager and he went out of his way numerous amount of times to provide me with exceptional training and a positive attitude everyday! The Campus Special has defiantly set me apart from other students as I have started applying for further internship experience, and employers notice my experience from The Campus Special immediately. Last summer, I worked under Matt Brown for The Campus Special. I'm sure you are doing the same thing I was doing, scouring testimonials, searching for more information, and wondering if this internship is really what it seems. Believe what you read here, because by the end of your summer, you'll be writing a testimonial just like mine. I learned how to be a better professional in many areas such as organizational skills, relationship building, working by myself, with a partner, and as a team, and learning how to sell on a professional level. The Chicago training conference was very helpful and constant support you get on a daily basis makes sure your comfortable with any aspect of the internship. The feeling of accomplishment when you see your friends holding a coupon book before deciding where to eat, or seeing a pile of them next to one of your clients registers, and to be able to tell people that that was my summer of hard work, is a feeling unlike any other. If you want a real life internship, this is for you, its a HUGE resume booster, and even bigger booster for your professional confidence, and skills.

My internship with The Campus Special was a life changing experience. Going into my senior year of college, I knew I wanted an internship that I thought would stand out on my resume. However, I ended up getting MUCH more than that. I had no idea that I would benefit from this internship as much as I did. I gained the confidence and skills that I can now apply to every aspect of my life. Making my sales pitch was easy and so much fun for me because I knew I had a unique product that I truly believed in and I knew how much it would help my clients. Distributing our book to all of the students on campus was one of most rewarding feelings I have ever felt and I can't even begin to count the amount of compliments I have received from my peers as well as the business owners themselves. I began a new internship search shortly after the summer to be able to fill a graduation requirement in the spring, and so far have had four offers from each of the four companies I have interviewed with. I am now able to go into interviews with full confidence and don't feel the least bit intimidated because I became so comfortable talking to all different types of people during my sales calls over summer. I learned more from this internship in one summer than I did during the last three years of college. You will never regret your decision to intern with The Campus Special and you certainly will never forget it!

One of the best and most memorable experiences of my life: The Campus Special Internship! This internship has changed my whole life around. It has made me look at life from both sides of the spectrum; to know how a client is feeling before and after a sale and of course being the hardworking intern. I learned that you don't always get what you want in life taking the easy way out. Sales are not supposed to be easy; however once you land one, it is the most rewarding feeling ever. I never thought that I could approach a business owner before this summer, and now I can with no hesitations. Having my manager by my side, giving excellent advice made me feel safe and confident shaping my day. Before this internship, I thought I was pretty confident, but this experience gave me even more than I can think of to this day. Once it came time for distribution in the fall, my partner and I were ecstatic. It was such a wonderful feeling passing out a product that had been created for the George Mason community for the first time. Seeing smiling faces and great results from clients and students using these coupon books still makes my day!

My position as Account Executive with The Campus Special over the summer of 2008 helped me grow in many ways, both professionally and personally. Having no previous sales experience, I was nervous about trying to sell a product to a stranger. With Matt Brown's guidance, I soon found myself chatting with business owners, getting job offers and closing out sales! Interns for The Campus Special receive not only training but weekly workshops to ensure continued development of professionalism and success. The entire TCS team helped me cultivate increased self-confidence and an ability to sell myself, both of which have impacted numerous facets of my life. In addition to experiencing personal and professional growth, this internship gives you a chance to quantify your success at the end of the summer. It never fails to impress companies that I worked on a sales team that produced a coupon book that was ranked 3rd in the country out of 75 universities. This internship has had so many positive impacts on my life and I would recommend it to any student looking for a life-changing experience in a supportive working environment.

This past summer I participated in The Campus Special Internship program and I learned a lot about my individual talents and abilities. By talking to and selling to many business owners I gained valuable real life experience in how to effectively communicate and understand different peoples needs and wants. These are life's lessons that have and will continue to help me throughout my life. After this internship I am using the people skills that I learned to go after another internship with a Fortune 500 company and I know I will have Matt's support and his confidence in me to help me achieve me goals. No matter if I had an awesome week or a not so awesome week Matt was alright right there pushing me harder and farther. It's a neat experience and I recommend it to anyone that wants to find out what all they can accomplish.

Working for the Campus Special during the Summer of 2008 met and exceeded my expectations of what was ahead of me. I learned so much about myself, built up my confidence from speaking to business owners, and learned the true meaning of persistence. Matt Brown remained a boss, a mentor, and mostly a friend throughout this process and helped me hourly if needed. I found out the value of networking and whether making a sale for the Campus Special or not, I sold myself. This led to many amazing leads for my future, such as an opportunity to intern with the N.C. State Sports Marketing Department! Writing this now, I can say I know what it feels like to feel proud when someone uses a product that I worked so hard to put together. I overhear people in class deciding where to eat while flipping through the Campus Special book that my wonderful partner and I put together during the Summer of 2008! I will continue my relationship with Matt Brown as he has helped me so much through these past couple of months, as well as the great things I know he'll help me with in the future. Working for The Campus Special is by far the best thing you can do for your future career. The best part about the internship is that you gain real life experience instead of just sitting at a desk. You won't be an errand boy five hours a day and browse the web the other three. You will be out interacting with business owners, building confidence and learning how to sell not only the product, but yourself. Once you are able to sell yourself, you are able to sell anything. Forget about being nervous for an interview; you are going to kill it! Each day is more challenging and rewarding than the last; it truly is a thrill ride. Even if you're not looking to go into sales this job will boost your confidence and communication skills. The internship really helps you grow as an individual, and employers will be able to recognize your extraordinary level of professionalism and your extensive knowledge of the business world. Resume aside, it feels really good to watch your peers use the coupons that you worked so hard to sell throughout the summer. If there's one piece of advice I can give you, it is to work for this company!

When searching for internships I wanted one that stood out from the rest. I wanted an internship that would challenge me daily, teach me about the real world, and would be fun and enjoyable. I found this exact thing last summer when I interned for The Campus Special. Working for The Campus Special taught me more than I ever imagined possible. It not only gave me the real world experience that I'll need to succeed after college, but it gave me the knowledge and experience to succeed and excel right now in the classroom. It also taught me something that I never could have learned by sitting through a lecture and that is self-confidence. Starting off was a bit shaky, I was nervous to go places, but after a couple weeks it was if my partner and I owned our college town. Not to mention, we built lasting relationships with not only each other, but our bosses and our community as well. I would strongly recommend this internship to anyone and everyone because it's something that will benefit you for many years to come!!

Interning with The Campus Special and having Matt as my manager was the best experience I could have ever hoped for. This internship helped me in every aspect of my life, both professionally and personally. I took away so much from being an Account Executive, including conversation skills, persuasion skills, along with being a much better consumer in general. I am constantly applying the information I learned as an Account Executive for The Campus Special in my advertising and marketing classes. Just these things would make the internship 110% worth it, but building positive relationships with my clients and seeing how excited they are that The Campus Special has brought new college business to their store is the most rewarding feeling in the world. I truly believe my internship with The Campus Special sets me a notch above my peers because of all the knowledge and experience that I gained during this passed summer. While in preparation to finish my senior year of college, I wanted the opportunity to receive hands on experience that classes did not offer. The Campus Special internship not only gave me an incredible resume boost, but most importantly, a real experience in the world of sales. The ability to sell yourself as a professional can open doors that seem inaccessible. After doing this summer internship, I gained the confidence and communication skills that enabled me to land a job with a global booking agency. Being chosen as an intern with The Campus Special was one of the best things that could have happened to me as far as having experience for entering the 'real-world.' I participated in this internship my very last semester of college and it has been a very impressive addition to my resume for prospecting employers. I have been able to be pickier about choosing a career due to the fact that I've had this great experience with The Campus Special and it had allowed me to gain some of that 'real-world' experience before I landed my first job. With great training and excellent supervision, I learned a lot about myself when it came to what I was able to accomplish when I persevered and wouldn't allow myself to give up, which you will too. This internship allows you to surprise yourself everyday in great ways, whether it be gaining confidence when speaking with new people, changing a business owner's mind from a 'no' to a 'yes', seeing the final product that you created, or landing your first dream job. I would recommend this internship to any student as it will teach you things you will use throughout your life!

Last summer, I had the amazing opportunity to intern for The Campus Special. Let's just put it plainly. If it were not for this internship I would still be waitressing and slinging drinks through my remaining days at UTK. It was really a fun experience and now every time I go out owners recognize me and usually send me over a free appetizer or something, which is a plus. The coolest thing that happened to me while signing a new contract with a client.. After closing the deal with the manager of Kaplan, he said, "Krista, now it's my turn to sell you." I looked stunned for a moment and said, "Well... that's nice but I'm not looking to take any kind of tests, but thank you." As I turned to leave he stopped me and offered me a job position and since it was the end of the internship I gladly accepted. In 1 month I moved up three positions and I am now Kaplan's Pre-College and Graduate Programs Coordinator. I am so lucky I took this internship it has already been a smart step towards my growing career path!

Interning for The Campus Special was one of the best experiences that I have ever had. As a Philosophy major headed to law school many people wondered why I was so excited to do a business. I have been a people person all my life and have had prior experience in sales so I figured this internship would be a great opportunity to get some experience in the real world. I was right!!! I believe that no matter what career one chooses selling will always play a huge role. Matt was an amazing manager, always there & ready to help, his positive attitude and confidence was always uplifting and refreshing. My confidence skyrocketed! I learned so many things that will be a great asset in law school. I learned that hard work and persistence makes all the difference. My favorite aspect of The Campus Special was the business owners I met, I was offered jobs and established connections that will last way beyond college. This internship is really a once in a lifetime opportunity!

Interning for The Campus Special under Matt Brown was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Not only did I learn a lot about myself, but I learned how to communicate with every kind of person. This internship boosted my self confidence and showed me what I was capable of. I received multiple job offers from restaurants and law firms and even florists. I never saw myself as a salesperson, but when I was selling a product that I truly believed in, it was easy because I was passionate about it. The training and support that I received from the company greatly surpassed my expectations. The most amazing thing is that I am now trusted and respected by prominent business owners in my town and that my resume and potential is far above my peers!

The Campus Special internship has offered me a broad spectrum of real life business experiences including business to business sales, handling multiple accounts, customer relations, and so much more! Due to the continuous support of both management and fellows interns at nearby universities, I learned how to make cold calls without fear and handle objections with assertiveness, confidence, and a positive attitude. Best of all, the indescribable sense of accomplishment I received when passing out the final product that I created was truly unforgettable. As this internship develops both personal and professional growth, I would definitely recommend it to others interested in marketing related fields.

My internship last summer with The Campus Special was a great experience. I remember thinking, "This is too good to be true. They're going to fly me out to Chicago for FREE to train me, and then I get PAID for every sale I make? What's the catch?" I couldn't be happier today that I had a chance to go through the program. Looking back, three months of the hardest work I've ever done seems incomparable to the benefits. I have a friend and a great professional resource in my manager Matt Brown, I've developed relationships with business owners in my town, and I have experience in sales that is rare for someone my age. I actually met my current employer while I was doing this internship. I went in trying to make a sale, and I came out with a job offer! He loved my persistence and attitude, and now I'm doing marketing for a local company (basically my dream job!!). I would recommend this internship to anyone, but you will only get out of it what you put into it. You have to be willing to work hard every day.

Experience is a key element as you prepare yourself for life after college and I definitely gained that from working for The Campus Special. It's great being able to walk into interviews with confidence and tell them how I've experimented with different sales techniques, that I've managed over 35 accounts, and that I know how to deal with rejection. As an account executive for the Campus I felt like I owned my own business, and the knowledge I took from that is invaluable. This was a summer of learning and personal growth, and I have The Campus Special to thank for that.

Interning for The Campus Special was such a great experience for me! I have always been a confident person, but every day I was selling, I was gaining great experience and becoming more and more collected under pressure. I think this internship changed who I would become professionally and gave me a huge advantage while I began interviewing after graduation. I walked into my first interview completely prepared and confident and landed the job on the spot! I won't say this internship isn't difficult, but after a couple weeks of selling, it was the most rewarding job I've ever had. Ohio State grew our book exponentially, and knowing that we had reached national rankings was exciting and impressive. To this day, I still go to some of the businesses I sold to and remember how good I felt when I closed the deal. Matt was totally supportive through the entire internship and was by far the best boss I have ever had. This internship gave me the opportunity to expand my abilities and was the PERFECT bridge between graduation and my first job. This internship not only looks great on a resume', it molded me into an asset for any company and a young, confident professional.

Having the opportunity to work for The Campus Special this summer with Matt Brown is one that I'm very grateful to have been offered. Working as an account executive has given me more confidence, better communication skills, and a better understanding of sales overall. In the beginning, I wasn't quite sure how I'd perform in a sales position but now I feel as if I could turn any no into a yes! The coupon book itself is easy to believe in because it truly does work. At times, the work is challenging but the rewards are easy to see once the books hit campus. I had students expressing their anticipation and excitement for the arrival of the book and I had clients telling me how well the book works for them. Not only that, but in the end you will have gained the type of skills that improve resumes - it certainly improved mine! You won't find the same hands-on experience that this internship offers anywhere else.

This past summer I had the opportunity to work as an Account Executive for The Campus Special. This is an internship that is far from sitting at a desk filing papers. Actually, the agenda looks more like meetings with clients, closing sales, daily progress reports and, balancing several accounts at once. The Campus Special stresses the importance of hard work, dedication, and self-discipline. The encouragement and advice that you will receive from Matt, Joe, and Chau will help you become successful in the marketing field. By mid-summer you will find yourself becoming a business savvy individual. The new found confidence, communication skills, and competitive edge will help you rise above your peers when it's time to prove yourself to your future employer. I highly recommend this internship to someone who is looking for a summer that will challenge you to achieve goals far beyond what you could imagine.

I interned for The Campus Special the summer of 2008. I cannot give justice to how amazing my experience was. I started my first day as a scared little girl who just finished her freshman year. I went from being a nervous wreck to being nationally ranked as a top seller in matter of weeks. Throughout the summer I became more confident about talking to clients, giving my sales pitch, and feeling like I was good at what I was doing. I learned to not take "no" personally because the majority of my "no's" turned into "yes's". I have never worked so hard for anything before in my entire life and my book proves it. I developed a good quality coupon book and I have Joe and the other managers to thank for it. I gained more than just a summer internship to put on my resume. I made invaluable connections with my managers who will always be there for me for advice. I was offered jobs by some of my clients who were thoroughly impressed with the way I carried myself and my product. Most importantly, I proved to myself and everyone else that I could do it. Interning for The Campus Special is something I will always be thankful for.

The internship with The Campus Special was my first experience in a sales position. Matt Brown enabled me to become the best sales person in Kent, Ohio and everyone in my personal life noticed it! Business owners offered me jobs when I walked in, my friends realized my confidence had soared, and family members were proud that I was working hard every single day. One business owner told me that he had never advertised with coupons in the 20 years that he had owned his business- the next day he was signed with The Campus Special! I realized that I could accomplish absolutely anything with my newfound confidence and the support of my manager. Seeing the books I created on campus and the coupons at the businesses makes me feel more proud of myself than I have ever been!

I interned for The Campus Special the summer of 2008. This internship opened up so many doors for my future career opportunities. It also made me a stronger and more confident individual. My peers could see me grow after the first week. Matt Brown was my manager and he was there at any time of the day if you needed anything. If you had a bad day he would be able to turn it around and you would end up with a sale. You build so many positive relationships with your clients. After my internship was done and the books came out I was extremely proud of what I accomplished over the summer. I had people grabbing the books from my hands because they use them that much. My last interview I had we talked about The Campus Special for the majority of the time. This is a great opportunity and wouldn't have wanted any other internship.

Among the many great experiences I gained from working for The Campus Special, one of them is that I have increased my ability to communicate well. Before The Campus Special, I was a communications major who had confidence but still got nervous speaking in front of people. After working for The Campus Special, I have learned to communicate well in front of many people, important figures, and with people I am meeting for the first time. The confidence that you gain from the summer with The Campus Special cannot be gained from any other job that you have had or will have in your college career. It has helped me in working and accomplishing goals in my organizations on campus and as I look for Internships and Jobs. The Campus Special definitely helped me to establish relationships with owners in my town and also helped me to establish relationships with other students working for The Campus Special, most of which, I still maintain today. Good Luck with this Internship, It's a great learning experience!

As an intern for The Campus Special, you are actually put into the workforce and are tested each and everyday. I learned how to deal and negotiate with owners all around my college town, and actually got to know a lot of the owners on a first-name basis. After completing this internship I feel that I can talk to anyone, and I am not afraid to speak out; the confidence that you gain through this internship is amazing. Not only do you gain confidence with this program, but you also learn how to work with others and how to be responsible for your clients, contracts, and many different aspects of being a business professional. This is not to say that there weren't some challenging times, because I was tested at many different occasions during the summer, but what was most gratifying was being able to overcome those obstacles and learn from them. The Campus Special is a company that really wants to teach college students how to be successful and even if the nature of the internship isn't something that you would do for the rest of your life, I can guarantee that you will stand out from your classmates because of the knowledge and training that you gain from an internship with The Campus Special.

Working as an Account Executive for Campus Special this summer was one of the greatest experiences I have ever had. I was pretty worried about being confident enough to be in sales, but with Chau and Joe by my side I never had a doubt in my abilities. It felt great to help out the local businesses around Starkville, and they still all let me know how appreciative they are when I come in today. I am about to graduate and head off to the real world, and I have no doubt that this internship will help me excel in anything I do in my future. Good luck to all!

Last summer I interned for The Campus Special. While searching for an internship, I knew that I wanted one where I would have a great experience and The Campus Special offered just that. After attending the training conference, I knew that not only was this going to be fun, but that I was going to learn so much about myself as well. I was right. The Campus Special gave me amazing insight into what it is like working with people first hand. I gained so much confidence and by the end of the summer I knew that I would be comfortable waking into any job interview. I am planning to attend law school next year, and not surprisingly, The Campus Special helped me in that regard as well. I learned how to be persuasive and work with clients, which is what I will be doing as a lawyer. The Campus Special provided me with a priceless learning experience that not only helped me to gain confidence, but will also help me immensely in my future. I am so thankful to Joe, Chau, and Matt for allowing me to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity.

I interned for The Campus Special this past summer and learned so much about myself as well what I want for my future. Before this internship I never really considered sales as a profession of choice. This summer transformed me from a shy, non-confrontational girl into a confident, convincing salesperson. This internship gave me real sales experience from day 1 and continued throughout the summer. Not only did I learn how to speak more assertively in front of business owners and overcome challenges of rejection, I eventually fell in love with the coupon book, itself and truly believed in this product's potential to reach college students! Selling this coupon book pushed me to work harder than I ever had before, and it paid off. There truly is no other internship that will give you the experience you need to succeed in sales. I am very happy to say that this internship actually did get me the job of my dreams as a recruiter. My hopes are to now move into full-time sales. Without the help of Joe and The Campus Special I would never be where I am now!

The Campus Special Internship has been such a rewarding and life-changing experience. With no experience in sales, I was extremely nervous and apprehensive at first. However, the internship is set up so that you cannot fail if you put in the effort and dedication. The training conference in Chicago gives you all the tools you will need to make sales and grow your book. You also get the opportunity to work under unbelievable managers that motivate and help you every step of the way. Not only can will this internship enhance your resume, but you will acquire skills that can be applied to any career path you choose to follow. I have gained confidence, communication skills, and the mindset that rewards come to those who persist. At the end of the summer, you have a tangible product that you can show off to your friends, family, and even future job employers. This experience has changed my life and it can do the same for you!

There is only one word to describe working with The Campus Special -- AMAZING! I started the internship thinking that it was just an internship. I was wrong; it is a life-changing experience! The best thing about working as an account executive is all the FUN! Every day you get to go to new place and meet new people. The Campus Special Internship last summer was one of the hardest things I've done, but it has also been, hands down, the most rewarding and beneficial for both my personal achievements and my career goals. They said I would have to step outside my comfort zone in this job but I didn't really believe them being the confident and outgoing person that I am, but wow was I wrong. I had to step outside that comfort zone and challenge myself every single day but looking back on it now, I wouldn't change this experience for anything. This internship taught me more than I could ever image from a single summer job and now it's the number one thing I talk about at job interviews and employees love to hear all about it. I won't lie, it will be challenging, but that's why you have the amazing support from people like Joe Jacobs to help you, and once you make it through you will look back amazed that you actually produced this incredible product!

I interned for The Campus Special during Summer 2008 before my last semester of college. I learned so much about myself throughout the experience and gained so much confidence. Not only does the internship help you personally, but also professionally. I no longer get nervous in interviews because I feel like I can talk to anyone. Working for The Campus Special this past summer changed my life. I never thought of myself as someone who would like sales, and I never thought I would be able to walk up to complete strangers and form lasting relationships with them. Since this summer my future career goals have taken a 180 degree turn. I have begun looking into more sales-type jobs because of how much I enjoyed myself and because I saw how sales jobs expand your networks and life skills. I have been offered a substantial number of internships and other jobs because of everything I gained from working for The Campus Special, and I am only a junior! This internship not only helped me in my future career, but also helped improve my social skills. I know how to talk to just about anyone and find some common ground we can agree on and discuss. With the help of the amazing team, especially Chau, I never felt alone and I knew I had someone who was counting on me and had faith in my ability. Whenever I felt stuck with something I could call Chau and I always got the help I needed (and sometimes it wasn't even about the job!) I formed permanent relationships this summer that are going to help me for the rest of my life. Not only will my relationship with Chau help me,but also with Sean, my partner, and the business owners I met throughout the summer. Just as the guys at The Campus Special will be there for me whenever I need them, I will always be willing to return the favor. These are people who are supportive of me and want to see only good things for me. This internship was a unique experience that not many people are lucky to be offered, and I was honored to be a part of such a great company for a summer. If you are one of the lucky few who get to participate in this experience, do not pass it up! You will never find anything else like it and you will never forget it!

This past summer I had the privilege of serving as an Account Executive for The Campus Special. The summer was filled with many everyday challenges that had to be overcome. After this summer was complete I had a new sense of confidence and openness to experience. Seeing the books come out on campus, and seeing my friends and other students using them daily has been one of the most rewarding experiences I've ever had. My experience in being an intern for The Campus Special was a life experience. From the second I stepped foot into the ballroom for the first day of the training session all the way until my last day as an account executive, I learned more about myself and the business of sales than I could have ever imagined learning in any other internship. My manager, Chau was incredibly helpful and stood by my side no matter if I was having an amazing day or a rough day. He taught me so many things that I would have never learned without this experience and that I will carry on into my professional career this spring. Interning for The Campus Special taught me so much more than anything I could learn in a classroom and would I recommend this to anyone who is ready to devote their summer to a very intense, rewarding learning experience.

This past summer, I grew in more ways than I knew I was capable of. The Campus Special is not just a job, it is an opportunity to set yourself apart from other students and create an edge that future employers are looking for. Not only did I gain experience with sales and account management, I built relationships with business owners all around Athens and that is not something most people have the chance to do. The Campus Special helped me build the confidence I need to succeed in the future and that is not an easy thing to find through a summer job. Seeing people all over campus use the book is such a rewarding feeling and makes you realize how much of a positive impact you made on your college town. The people I worked with were amazing and your manager is always there for you through everything! I couldn't think of a better way to spend my summer.

When looking back at my internship with The Campus Special, I will always remember this defining moment: On the first day of classes, my marketing professor asked us to introduce ourselves and share what we did this summer. When my turn came, I responded, "My name is Dani. I am now a senior and as result of my internship this past summer, I am responsible for helping to create the books that look like packets of hundred-dollar bills which are now being passed out everywhere around campus." Right then and there, not just one, but SEVERAL students pulled out their Campus Special books, told me how amazing they were and how they could not believe that I was instrumental in their creation. That day, not only did I gain the respect of my professor and peers, but I realized the absolute most sense of pride and accomplishment I have ever felt in my life. To say that working for The Campus Special has been one of the most unique, challenging, and fulfilling experiences I have had only begins to lend itself to the positive remarks I could give about this internship. Quite simply, this opportunity has far-and-away exceeded my expectations of what any internship could ever provide. If you are ready to put yourself ahead of your peers, gain real-world sales and marketing experience, establish relationships with business owners in your community, develop a tangible product and truly have a one-of-a-kind experience then you CANNOT pass up the chance to be a Campus Special intern!

Interning for The Campus Special this past summer was an amazing experience! Before this internship I couldn't even give a speech without my hands shaking and voice cracking like I was about to cry. Now I have been able to stand in front of large crowds and approach different people for the first time like I've been doing it for years. This internship gave me the skills to make me a more confident and outgoing individual. Without the help of my manager, Joe Jacobs, as well as all The Campus Special managers, I would have been lost this past summer. They helped me every step of the way and once I got my feet wet I was ready to take off. These guys are there to help you, TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THEIR GUIDANCE! All summer I got a feel for the real world and it was a better experience than all my years in college classrooms put together. There's no better feeling than creating and marketing your own product. Interning for The Campus Special was one of the most rewarding experiences I have had in my life. Over the course of the summer I learned a lot about myself and gained a new found confidence that I had never experienced before. Sure, at times it was rough... clients say no, you don't always get the number of sales you're wanting and sometimes you have to look deep into yourself to keep going, but your mentor is always there for you to give you the confidence and help you need to improve. Joe Jacobs, my mentor and regional sales manager, contacted me everyday and played an essential part in my success during my internship. I will never forget and will forever be grateful for the important lessons he taught me... the most important one being "No Never Means No." Not only were my partner and I able to make our book bigger, we were also able to put together a book that students want to use. I can't even begin to express how amazing it is to arrive on campus in the fall and see your book in the hands of students... your peers. Even better is hearing them talk about how much they like the book and hear from clients how many coupons they are receiving back. Interning for The Campus Special is an experience I will look back on for the rest of my life and remember as the summer that I became a young professional. As a student, I wanted more than a job. I wanted a position that offered me real experience, supportive mentor ship and opportunities for growth. The Campus Special offered this and much more. Chau, Joe, and Matt gave me all the guidance I needed, but they also pushed me to become more self-directed and self-sufficient. During the training in Chicago they helped prepare me for the challenges that I would come across this summer. The skills I developed as an intern are invaluable! Not only have I developed more professionally but I also have discovered a different side of myself, I am more confident than I have ever been. This past summer, I had the wonderful opportunity to intern for The Campus Special and it was by far the most rewarding experience I have ever had. Working with Chau will be an experience I will never forget and I will continue to come to him for professional advice for years to come. He is passionate and enthusiastic about what he does and truly cares about the personal development of his interns. He taught me to be confident in everything I do, believe in myself, and succeed in selling a product that I truly believe in. It was especially rewarding to constantly see students and local business owners benefit from our product. After this internship, I could apply everything I did in those valuable 12 weeks to my classes, interviews with potential employers, and everyday life. From the start to finish of this internship, I grew tremendously as a person and a professional. Coming into my summer internship with The Campus Special I had no idea what to expect. After attending the training conference in Chicago, I was eager and nervous at the same time. All of the managers really allowed me to work on my own and develop a sense of independence in the work-force; while still maintaining contact and words of wisdom when I needed. The most rewarding part of this internship for me was the relationships I developed with all of the business owners in downtown State College. Owners call me on a regular basis to let me know how they are doing and some have even seen sales double in just the first month!!! None of my friends have been able to say the same about any of their internships and have admitted they are jealous of the opportunity I took advantage of. After handing out the booklets on campus, my friends and I were known as the "coupon girls". I highly recommend this internship to anyone who is looking to take the next step in their future.

Last summer, I interned for The Campus Special and had the experience of a lifetime! I learned how to effectively communicate and carry myself into a number of situations, and at the same time I learned how to manage and understand clients who were from all walks of life. For example, some of the clients I landed include a tattoo parlor, an artist store, fast food restaurants, and even a regional chain of movie theaters. I loved this internship because it constantly challenged my perceptions of certain businesses and it forced me to step outside of my comfort zone to put together a product that I increased from last year by 400%! This was an awesome experience, and I would recommend it to anyone who is hardworking, looking for a challenge, and who wants to prove themselves on their resumes and in future interviews.

My internship with The Campus Special provided an opportunity to not just improve my personal selling skills, but I developed strong relationships with my clients to where I was more of a adviser on the college market rather than just a sales representative. It is going to be hard for me to explain in only one paragraph how rewarding it has been for me to work for The Campus Special. In only three short months, I turned into a self-confident, motivated and independent person. Being able to sit down with owners of businesses and sell a product to them was such an amazing feeling. Talking to these owners and selling to them made me realize that I was not only selling a product; but that I was selling myself as well. When the coupon books came out, just looking at them gave me an overwhelming sense of pride. I talked to my mom about my job with The Campus Special for over an hour; she could not believe what I had accomplished. After the internship was over, I realized what I wanted my future career to be. I would have never known unless I had the opportunity to work for them. Most students will have internships involving them doing paper work and working behind desks; The Campus Special is the complete opposite and something not many students will be lucky enough to experience. Looking back, I would have never taken another job over The Campus Special, and I can honestly say it has changed my life.

Working for The Campus Special is the best work experience you can gain as an undergraduate at any university. The experience and confidence you build and gain throughout the internship is like none other. Interacting with business owners day in and day out prepares you to talk in front of professionals and in front of big groups of people and interviewing for jobs. The coupon book itself was a big hit at UNCG its first year. Everywhere you go on campus you see someone with one in their hands flipping through the book, I even have people stopping me asking if I have any more books that they can have. I have been back to an establishment that is in the coupon book and the business owner said herself "It is the best advertising we have ever done and we are glad that we have done it; the coupons have been flying in the doors since the first day of school." Anyone who is interested in having a challenged summer and preparing themselves for the workforce after graduating, I highly recommend them to The Campus Special.

The summer of 2008 was a summer that gave me an entirely new outlook on life. At the beginning of the summer I was really shy, but by the end I was able to walk into a store with confidence and feel like I owned Charleston and nothing the owner could say to me would stop me from making an awesome coupon book. My dad even told me I had so much more confidence as the summer progressed, and he always tells me I'm way to shy! Working for The Campus Special made me realize my love for sales and marketing and even made me switch my major 3 days before classes started to Business and Marketing. This is the best experience I've ever had, and highly recommend working for The Campus Special even if you are not going into sales / marketing! The skills you learn in one summer will last you a lifetime!

Looking back I never would have thought I would gain so much experience during just one summer. Working for The Campus Special gave me confidence to walk up to a total stranger and give them a sales pitch...then sell them on it. This was so much more than just a summer internship, it was the greatest learning experience I have ever received. It opened my eyes to what the business world can really be like. The whole summer my manager was always there for me, even during the 5th call of the day. Joe, Chau, and Matt also took the time to get to know me over the summer too. It was definitely a very rewarding summer, thank you Campus Special!

The Campus Special was the best thing that could have happened to me last summer. I got to know nearly every business owner in my town personally. I even landed a new part time job because of the confidence I showed when I was an Account Executive. I have recently just started looking for careers and I am no longer nervous at interviews. The Campus Special was a great help and Chau, Joe, and Matt were always there when I needed them and they continue to help me even after the internship has passed.

I worked as an intern for The Campus Special this past summer. It was such a rewarding experience, not only because I will use many things I learned in future jobs but also because of the personal growth I saw in myself. I always felt like an outgoing and articulate person with great people skills. I learned this summer that it takes more than that to stand out above others. This internship has taught me to use my skills that I already have to my advantage. This helped the book we created become the best it could. Looking back at the summer, I realize how much I truly gained and how much this summer will mean to my future. I enjoyed handing out every single book to the students the first week of school. Watching students flip through the book and hearing them talk about The Campus Special with their friends was my way of knowing that my hard work and dedication was all worth it. Although the internship is over, The Campus Special is everywhere. I still get calls from business owners thanking me for coming to see them and giving them the confidence to buy a spot in the book. I also keep running into students buying a tanning package (my favorite sale) or using one at the local Subway. Every time I see one of my coupon books, I can only look back and be so thankful to Chau, Joe, and Matt for giving me the opportunity to be an intern and grow immensely.

I interned for The Campus Special last summer and was able to learn many new skills that I will use later in life. At first the job was challenging, being out on my own talking with business owners and trying to convince them to buy was new to me. The first couple weeks started with a lot of bumps in the road; however, with the help of the managers I was able to turn the tables on business owners and begin to make sales. The managers were also offering new and helpful advice and would always give you support no matter how bad or good your day was going. After I started discussing the product, I began to discover that it sells itself. I had my roommates and friends telling which business they wanted to see in it and I knew if I worked hard enough this book would be a huge success. I learned so much about sales and about who I am during this job; these are things that I will definitely take with me into the future. The summer, although not always easy, it was a great experience and I am glad I got the opportunity to be a part of it. The one thing that will help you the most in this job is staying positive and working hard.

This past summer I worked as an intern for The Campus Special and it was very rewarding. I received hands-on experience that most students don't have the opportunity to receive. The actual coupon book is an amazing product to sell. Just one week after the book came out I went to one of my clients and they already had a full envelope of coupons redeemed from students! This internship really gives you a sense of pride because you are helping your fellow students as well as the local businesses. I've learned that you are much more successful selling a product that you believe in- and it is very easy to believe in this product because it really does work! In addition to learning how to market a product, I learned how to market myself. I gained self-confidence and I established relationships with all different types of businesses and business owners. It a truly an experience that is second to none.

Working with Chau and Joe for the summer was such an unforgettable and influential experience. I had just completed my first year of college, so being one of the youngest interns, Joe and Chau decided to take a risk and give me a chance. I cannot thank them enough for giving me that opportunity and the guidance towards becoming a better sales representative each and everyday. I was a slow starter, but all I heard from Chau and Joe were words of encouragement and motivation. By the end of the summer, there was a noticeable difference in the level of confidence I had in myself, as well as the leadership skills I possessed. Chau and Joe are amazing mentors as well as friends, and I know that I can count on them to be there for me in the future!

I could not be happier with my experience with The Campus Special this summer. This internship completely exceeded my already high expectations I had intended for it at the beginning of the summer. The Campus Special has helped me better myself in many different aspects, not only professionally, but personally as well. I learned the art of the sale and improved on it throughout the summer and now I apply the knowledge I learned to my everyday life. Not to mention all of the networking you gain by meeting with many of the business owners around the area. There is so much that I could accredit this internship for, but a few things that stick out are that I learned how to be more persuasive, more successful, more charismatic, and how to read people. The Campus Special was new to SIU this year and just about every business that advertised with us has been ecstatic about their return. This really is the BEST FORM OF ADVERTISING any school has ever seen. The Campus Special is a 100% legitimate product that I can personally believe will be around for a very long time and continue to thrive at every school it comes to. Matt, Chau, and Joe are AWESOME! I know I read all of the good things that were said about these 3 when I was applying and I just kind of assumed that they were good guys. But let me tell you, these 3 guys will bend over backwards for you personally and professionally. I have worked since the age of 11, and I have never had this much support from any kind of manager or supervisor. They WILL HELP YOU SUCCEED. They are respected in the college advertising community and their networking skills can help you get your foot in the door in practically any field. This internship will change your life forever and help you learn what it takes to be successful. I have gained so much confidence in my abilities over the course of the internship which in turn made me much more confident about my future. I could never thank Matt, Joe, and Chau enough for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to work for them. Go Campus Special!

Last summer I was an intern for The Campus Special under Matt Brown. This internship turned out to be the best possible opportunity for me; it was just what I needed. The experience I gained cannot be put into words. I developed the self-confidence, persistence, and professionalism needed in order to succeed in school and my career after graduation. Furthermore, the coupon books on campus are a major hit...many of my professors have told me how impressed they are with the book and tons of students and friends have thanked me for putting it together. The sense of accomplishment and satisfaction that is gained from this internship is amazing. When I look back on my summer, I realize how much I developed as a professional and how much the skills I learned will carry over into my career. I have received calls from many business owners thanking me for encouraging them to sign up with The Campus Special; they now have more college students coming into their business than every before! If you are looking for an internship to truly give you "experience" and allow you to maximize and further develop your abilities, The Campus Special is the one for you. When prospective employers speak with me regarding employment opportunities with their company, they always bring up how impressive my internship experience is. I will always be grateful to Matt for his guidance and encouragement and the friendship that we have developed will last a lifetime. If you want to be fully prepared for a career when you graduate, interning with The Campus Special is one of the best choices you can make.

Just a few months ago, I stumbled upon what would turn into the opportunity of a lifetime - an internship with The Campus Special, under the guidance of Joe Jacobs. I was entering my last few weeks as a college senior with no sales experience what-so-ever and thought an internship might look nice on my resume. Although I was skeptical at first, I can look back and honestly say it was the most fun, exciting, and rewarding summer I've ever had. When I think back to all the teachers, coaches, friends, and mentors in my life - Joe Jacobs tops the list. Not only was he an exceptional person to work under, but I am honored to call him a great friend. I cannot say enough great things about Joe - he's AMAZING and will go out of his way to help you after the internship. Every interview I went on after graduating - I landed an offer because of my proven sales experience. I learned how to sell myself with confidence. I graduated college only 3 months ago & landed my dream job working for CBS Broadcasting. I am one of the youngest account executives in the entire Chicago market and am using everything I have learned from Joe and The Campus Special on a daily basis. Advice I would give to new account executives would be - THINK BIG! - You have one-on-one access to an elite team of professionals - Joe, Chau, and Matt are AMAZING resources - use them! They are so eager and ready to make you as great as you want to be! Be positive, persistent, and patient. Believe in yourself and your team whole-heartedly! Work hard & work smart! Great things will happen, I promise! Best wishes & may you all be ready to have the summer of your life! Thanks, Joe! I can't thank you enough! You are the best!

Working as an Account Executive for The Campus Special was by far the best internship I have ever had. I learned so much about sales, marketing, and accounts management, but I also learned so much about myself. I now have the confidence and skills to help me succeed in whatever I plan on doing next. This internship was challenging, but believing in the product and genuinely wanting to help out the local businesses makes it all the easier. It is so nice to have built relationships with so many local business owners, and such a reward seeing the product bring them more student business! Once school started I saw the coupon books all over campus and heard everyone talk about where they could get more, which made everything I did that summer definitely worth its while! I could not have asked for a better internship; working with great bosses and other interns, along with seeing the success of my time and effort is more than I could have ever expected!

The Campus Special was definitely a great internship! I was very hesitant about it, but I am so glad that I did it. This internship has been exceptionally beneficial; it improved my communication skills, enhanced my confidence, and I developed great time management skills. This was the first year for the Campus Special coupon book to be at BGSU and it was a major hit! Once the book came out to all the students, everyone was talking about the book and how great it was. I over heard students talking it up while I was handing out the book and it made me feel great! Working with Matt Brown was another great quality about this internship. He was always so positive and motivating. If I ever needed anything, he was always there for me. Everything that I learned from this internship will definitely come in handy in the future. My future success will definitely be because of the Campus Special internship.

This internship experience has by far exceeded my expectations of what I was getting myself into for the summer of 2007. When I was first interviewing for the position I was somewhat skeptical about sales in general but I figured I would give it a shot and hopefully get some good experience from it. When we got to Atlanta for the training conference, my worries immediately started to melt away. The training that we received from Chau, Joe, Matt, and the previous interns was excellent. Their motivation and enthusiasm let us all know that we were capable of being very successful. My first few days of sales were tough because it was new to me and my confidence and experience were still building. Matt was very helpful and motivating and kept pressing me to keep my chin up and give 100% effort everyday. As the weeks passed by I could sense myself becoming more confident and really getting a better understanding of how to close a sale. Before this internship I never would have considered a career in sales, but now that is the only thing that I can see myself doing. This internship would be a perfect opportunity for anyone who would like to better themself both professionally and personally. This experience has definitely changed me for the better and I am deeply thankful for that. Trust me when I say that if I can do this, anyone can!

Interning with The Campus Special has enhanced my resume to a level of prestige that has employers knocking at my door. However, this was not the average internship doing busy-work, this was a job with a lot of responsibility handling thousands of dollars worth of accounts that I sold! I witnessed myself grow from an inexperienced college student to a capable professional in just one summer! I was able to develop a foundation of skills such as relationship building, persistence, and persuasion that will help me in my career for the rest of my life. Not to mention I got to see all of the students at my college enjoy and praise the book that I created! The Campus Special has a special place in my heart because it has made such a positive impact on my future and such a positive impact on my campus. I recommend this internship to anyone who wants to be a step ahead of their peers and gain the respect and attention of prospective employers.

Working with The Campus Special was one of the most rewarding, challenging, and life changing experiences of my college career. The primary purpose of taking this internship was to build my resume and earn some spending money. After the training conference, I realized that my role as an account executive would be much more than a summer job. I came into contact with hundreds of business owners, managed accounts, and gained an understanding of the 'world of sales'. Most importantly, I was able to provide a valuable product for 19,000 students at my school. I felt an enormous sense of pride when the finished product was distributed, and college students on a budget were presented with a book of really great deals. My personal success from The Campus Special internship would not have been possible without my boss, Matt Brown, and his unlimited amount of support and positive attitude. Thanks again Matt, Joe, and Chau!

When I first flew into Chicago for the training seminar I was extremely nervous and had no idea what to expect. The first time I met Chau and Joe I listened to them talk about what lay ahead and my worries faded and were replaced with the confidence that I had made the right choice about working for Campus Special. This internship was incredible not only because I learned how to speak to various kinds of people, but also because I learned how to trust people, especially Chau. Chau was there for my every step of the way and went above and beyond any boss I had ever worked with. He always made time to talk about any question that I had about a client, or even to celebrate when I signed a contract! This internship taught me skills that I will use every day in my life and in every future profession. Speaking in front of people used to be my biggest fear and now after a summer of talking to people you had never met before, I am more confident then I have ever been. There are so many beneficial aspects of this job but I believe that you have to experience it to really know how much this internship can impact your life.

This past summer I learned how to think on my feet, I learned how to sell a product I believed in to someone I just met, and I picked up more knowledge on building customer relationships with The Campus Special than I would have working for anyone else. The rewards for working for Chau and Joe are endless. Not only do you receive training, earn commission and gain experience during the internship, but when schools starts and we got our distribution team together they were PUMPED about handing out our coupon book on campus because of the great deals in it! We had so much fun handing them out on campus because we were getting such AMAZING feedback from students about our book...it was a sense of pride I guess you can say!! I loved it and my partner and I worked hard all summer to put together something that students thank us for and businesses still e-mail us raving about it. If that's not what you're looking for in an internship, I don't know what is!

The internship program with The Campus Special was the best learning experience I have ever had in preparing for a full-time job. I gained confidence in myself and had a chance to put my communications skills to use in a professional setting. Every aspect of marketing to college students is taken into consideration for the success of the coupon books. One of the most rewarding aspects of the internship was when a client of mine told me how the coupon book has performed above his expectations and he continues to see college business based on advertising with The Campus Special. Until he advertised with us he has never been able to get students into his business. If you're like me, you want to work for a reputable company with a product that works and that is why I recommend this internship.

The opportunity to work with Joe, Chau, and Matt developing The Campus Special for the first time at the University of Missouri was truly one of the most rewarding experiences of my life! At first, I was extremely nervous, but this internship allowed me to prove to myself that I am capable of anything I put my mind to! I cannot express the extreme amount of confidence that I gained throughout the summer. Even my friends and family noticed and pointed out the change in my personality! The first couple weeks were tough, but by week 4, I loved every minute of it! It was so great to be able to sell a product that I truly believed in! That is one of the best things about this product, we were selling something we could actually stand behind and believe in, rather than useless junk. I knew college students were going to absolutely love it, and my challenge was communicating this effectively to business owners. I cannot explain how amazing it makes me feel when my clients call to tell me how great of a response they have received from the Campus Special!! It feels great to have been that person to enable this connection between the student body and their business!! One of the most exciting results from this internship is my position at a local fine jeweler as a Designer Merchandise/Sales Consultant. I love my job, and The Campus Special enabled me to get my foot in the door. I know I would have never found this job if it weren't for this summer! I also would have never had the confidence to breeze through the interview process and negotiate my salary, without the experience I gained this past summer! Thank you guys so much!!!!

There is no class or other internship that could have given me the invaluable experience and self confidence that I have learned through Chau Nguyen and through my client interactions as an Account Executive for The Campus Special. I was always a good, dedicated student, but through this internship I learned to multi-task like a pro, to be confident, and to be extremely persuasive. I also gained communication skills and problem-solving skills that I apply to all of my interactions from conversations and debates to job interviews and work presentations. The best part of this internship is the self-gratification I received when I saw how excited my friends and classmates were when they received their copies of The Campus Special. It was a HUGE SUCCESS in Starkville, and my success and hard work shows through every time I walk into Subway, Lenny's, and our other clients' stores and see the stacks of coupons redeemed on the counter, and when I hear classmates talking to each other about how amazing the books are and what great deals are inside. The product is amazing, and your bosses are helpful, supportive, and fun. Chau, Joe, and Matt are wonderful guys who are always there to help you grow to your fullest potential. Do not miss out of this invaluable experience!

Working as an intern for The Campus Special this summer was the best experience of my life. From day one of the extensive training program all the way to the last day of the summer I was able to gain life long skills to further my career in marketing and sales. Working for The Campus Special helped me build the confidence and composure to be more professional in the business world. On top of building personal skills to further my career I was also able to help all of my peers at Michigan State University by giving them an amazing book with some really great deals. All of this is great, but nothing compares to having a boss like Joe or Chau. They are always there to give you the best advice and are the best mentors I have ever had. When searching for an internship for this past summer, I was seeking one that would give me hands-on experience in the business world, involve different tasks everyday, provide me with the opportunity to meet new people, and build new relationships--not an internship where I would be sitting in a cubicle, filing papers or fetching coffee all day like some of the bad internship stories that I'd heard before. I wanted one that would challenge me and help me to become a young professional. Interning with The Campus Special gave me all this and so much more! This past summer, working for Chau Nguyen and Joe Jacobs, I had such a great experience and learned more than I could have ever imagined I would in one summer. Chau and Joe are phenomenal bosses and mentors, and I couldn't have asked for better, especially for my first internship. They were always there if I needed help and always motivating me and challenging me to do my best and exceed even my own expectations. It was amazing to see the professionalism, the confidence working with business owners, and the persistence that I developed in such a short period of time. This internship is a diamond in the rough. It has given me so many great experiences, pushing myself to overcome obstacles and seeing first hand that persistence pays profits. I know it is an experience that will definitely set me apart from the competition in today's competitive job market.

What I loved most about the internship is the real life experience I gained from it. Chau and Joe were always there to give me constant support and encouragement. I loved working so close with a mentor. It is a rare opportunity to get to do this and a great part of this internship. Most of these testimonials will say you can learn sales skills and communication skills through this internship, but you learn so much more. You learn how to network, how to approach business owners and not be intimidated, how to be very persistent, and stay positive. If you truly believe in the product you are selling, and you should because it is awesome, the owners can see and they respect that and they can relate to that a lot more. The product is amazing, every college kid wants to save money, and you have the opportunity to make a coupon book that you and every other student on campus wants and needs. There are two situations in this internship when you are guaranteed to put a huge smile on your face. The first is when you make a sale -nothing can compare to this! The second is when you pass out the coupon books that you worked your entire summer to make, and see them being used on campus! Nothing beats that, because that is when I realized all of my hard work really paid off. When someone was talking about how great The Campus Special coupon book was, I just smiled and thought to myself, "Yep. I made that!" I really recommend this internship.

Working for The Campus Special will be something that I remember for the rest of my life. I have never learned so much in my life, and never had the ability to apply it to real-world situations until I joined The Campus Special team. Your bosses, Chau and Joe, will help you with anything throughout the course of the summer. Being able to pick up the phone and call Chau or Joe has been advantageous for me even after the internship. I came into this program with the hopes of learning the basics of sales, and hoped to extend my network for when I graduated. Not only did I accomplish this, but I established relationships with many of the town's business owners that will last an eternity, and came home every day with some sense of satisfaction. I really enjoyed the hands-on experience this internship provided, as opposed to being locked in a cubicle from 9-6. You really get to go out, explore, and take in everything your community has to offer. If you're looking for an internship that is not only a resume builder, but a gratifying and beneficial experience, then working for The Campus Special is right up your alley.

I worked for the Campus Special last summer and it really was an experience like no other. I am now applying for a full-time job and all of my prospective employers love that I have real sales experience. Other than sales experience, this job really did help my confidence and with my communication skills. This summer I worked for The Campus Special under the close supervision of my manager, Matt Brown. Taking on this challenging internship was one of the best decisions I've made in my college career. Coming away from this summer I have a self-confidence, discipline and sales experience that would be impossible to gain from a typical desk job. But the sales aspect of this job was not the only rewarding part. Seeing the final product around campus, in the hands of the students, and their reaction to it was amazing. I knew then that all of our hard work had paid off. In job interviews with employers, the vast majority of the conversation revolves around my experience as an Account Executive. I would certainly recommend this internship, but only to those who are looking to have the most challenging and most rewarding summer of their life.

Working for Matt Brown this summer as part of The Camups Special team was one of the most challenging yet rewarding experiences I've ever had. When I started looking for internships I never thought I would end up in such a hands-on position that would offer me much more than just a "typical" internship. Working as an Account Executive over the summer not only taught me the value of integrity, persistence and hardwork, but it also taught me so much about myself! Working so hard for something and then actually getting to see the finally product that you put together is very rewarding. I even got a call from one of clients a couple months after the book came out saying that he's never had such a great return on any advertising that he's done before! Also, when you see everyone carrying the coupon books with them around campus, there's n
