I am a marketing major, so not only was I able to apply what I had learned from class to a real life experience, I also had things I could bring back to the classroom with me this year. When it comes to my direct marketing class, I feel like a pro! I've been there and I've done that. Before interning with The Campus Special, I didn't have much real life applicable work experience. I had learned marketing and sales concepts in class, but had never gotten the chance to put them into practice. At the beginning of the process, I was nervous and unsure of what to expect. However, the managers literally could not have been more nice and supportive! My manager constantly encouraged me and helped me to grow into a true salesperso...n. Throughout the summer, I gained a tremendous amount of confidence that has continued to benefit me in my academic, personal, and professional life. This summer The Campus Special provided me with best most unexpected internship of my college career. The internship was truly the most important, developmental, and the best thing I could have done all summer.
