How does Food Court work?

As Easy as 1, 2, 3...

  1. Sign up: Provide Campus Special with your menu, hours and delivery details.
  2. Get online: We market your restaurant to students via our coupon books, email, Facebook and mobile channels.
  3. Students order online: Students build their order and choose their method of payment. We then process the order for you.
  4. Receive orders: You can receive orders by fax, email, telephone, or through a real time order console. Each order will show customer information, ordered items, delivery or take out, and payment status.
  5. You prepare the order and deliver it or ready it for take out.
  6. Get paid: you will receive a weekly statement and deposit via electronic funds transfer. We bring students to your business.


Do I need to have my own website to be able to accept online orders?

Absolutely not! The only thing you need is a working fax machine and fax line or a phone. All you have to do to get started is to provide us with your menu, hours, and delivery zone and leave the rest up to us. We process all your orders for you and we also market your restaurant to students via our coupon books, e-mail, Facebook and mobile! If you do have your own website, you can also participate in our affiliate program where you can add a link on your site that will direct students to your Food Court page on CampusSpecial.com.



Is there a monthly fee to be on Food Court?

No. Campus Special Food Court will not charge you a monthly fee!



Do students have to pay to use Food Court?

Absolutely not! Unlike other sites, students do not pay any service fees. Campus Special is in the business of saving students money!



How do I receive online orders?

Once a student submits an order, Food Court immediately sends the order into your store via fax, phone, email, or through a real time order console on your account. Each order will show order details, delivery or take out, and payment status.



How can I update My account information?

You can update or change your account information at any time by clicking on the Restaurant Setup link under the Client Administration section.



What if my bank account information changes?

You can update or change your bank account information at any time by clicking on the Bank Account Setup link under the Client Administration section.



How do I make changes to my menu?

You can update or change your menu at any time by clicking on the Menu Editor link under the client administration section. You can delete any item on the menu by clicking on the trashcan icon and you can edit anything that has a pencil icon next to it. If there are any other changes that need to be made or if there is a change you do not feel comfortable making yourself, you can request these changes in menu notes on the left side of the screen.



Can I put coupons and promotions on the site?

If you would like to put any special offers or coupons on your page, please contact us or call us toll free (877) 443-6631 and we will add this to your menu.



When do I get paid for the orders placed to my restaurant through Food Court?

You will receive a weekly statement and deposit via electronic funds transfer every week.



What if there is an error on my weekly deposit?

If there are any errors on your weekly statement or deposit, please contact us or call us toll free (877) 443-6631.



How can I view a history of orders placed to my restaurant?

You can view all of your past orders by clicking on the Transaction Log link under client administration. You can categorize your orders by date and order type (delivery or take out).



How do I modify or cancel an order that was placed on Food Court?

If a student calls you to cancel an order that was placed and you haven't already prepared the food, you can cancel an order by going to cancel a purchase on your account page or just contact us and we'll cancel it. You can also cancel an order using our automated phone system or by text message. Instructions are on the cancel a purchase page.



What if I am having problems logging in to My account?

Make sure you are logging in with the same email and password that you used to register your account. Don't remember your password? No worries, you can reset your password at any time. Click here to reset your password.
