It is easy to become overwhelmed with all the college food options available at your campus when you first arrive. You are fresh out of high school and away from home for the first time for an extended period of time. You are in control of when you eat, what you eat and how much you eat. Just remember that you will have at least four years to try out all the different foods — so you can pace yourself.
Balancing Out Your College Food Meals Requires Little Effort
With a little planning, you can balance your college food meals without much effort. For example, when you want chicken wings, go ahead and get them. But balance out the deep fried chicken wings with a tossed salad or other type of fresh vegetable on the side. Or when you get a cheeseburger and fries, balance this out by eating some fresh fruit for dessert in place of some other sugary item.
